Richard Tubb graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colorado, Class of 1981. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Wisconsin in 1985. From 2002 to 2009 he served as Physician to the President (Deputy Assistant to the President), and Director, White House Medical Unit, the White House, Washington, D.C. He retired in 2009 as a U.S. Air Force Brigadier General.
