(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Brigadier General Richard Lee Scott, United States Air Force, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Chief of the Finance Division at Air Material Command from 1949 to 1952. In this important assignment, General Scott reorganized the financial activities of the Air Materiel Command. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General Scott and his dedicated contributions in the service of his country reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
