Bealer Rogers received a direct Air Force commission in 1955 and was assigned to the Air Force Institute of Technology with duty assignment as a general surgery’ resident at Emory University Hospital. He completed specialty training in 1959. He retired in 1985 as a U.S. Air Force Brigadier General.
