Gary Pfingston enlisted in the Ai8r Force in 1962 and spent his early career as a B-52 Bomber Crew Chief. During the Vietnam War he served at U-Tapao Royal Thai Air Base from 1972 to 1973. In 1990 he was selected the Tenth Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, and served in that post until he retired in 1994.
