Jack Rives was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program in 1974 upon graduation from the University of Georgia School of Law. From 2004 to 2006 he performed the duties of the 15th Air Force Judge Adjutant General, and from 2006 to 2010 he served as the 16th Judge Advocate General. He retired in 2010 as a U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General.
