Gregory Ferguson enlisted in the Oklahoma Air National Guard in 1982 and was commissioned in 1984 at the Academy of Military Science in Knoxville, Tennessee. In 2011 he was appointed a U.S. Air Force Brigadier General, and in 2015 received his second star as a Major General.
