J. Steven Chisolm served nine years as an enlisted Security Policeman before he was commissioned as an Air Force Chaplain in 1984 through the Academy of Military Science, I.G. Brown Training and Education Center, McGee Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tennessee. In 2015 he ws appointed a U.S. Air Force Brigadier General.
