Mark Berry enlisted in the Air Force in August 1974 and completed Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He subsequently began
technical training as an Air Traffic Controller at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi. He was commissioned in 1985 through the Air Force Officer Training School. In 2015, as a U.S. Air Force Major General, he was appointed The Adjutant General of the Arkansas National Guard.
