Richard Pascoe enlisted in the Air Force in 1952, and was commissioned through the Aviation Cadet Program in 1956. As a fighter pilot during the Vietnam War, he was credited with shooting down two enemy MiG aircraft in aerial combat. He retired in 1991 as a U.S. Air Force Major General.
