James Morehouse was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program in 1971 upon graduation from the University of Southern California. He retired in 2002 as a U.S. Air Force Brigadier General.

His devotion to duty and courage under all conditions serve as an inspiration to his fellow flyers. His actions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the Armed Forces of the United States.
