Larry Keith enlisted in the Air National Guard in 1953 and was commissioned through the Aviation Cadet Program in 1956. As a fighter pilot during the Vietnam War, he was credited with shooting down one enemy MiG in aerial combat. He retired in 1988 as a U.S. Air Force Brigadier General.
