Aaron Jones was commissioned as an Army Infantry Officer in 1917 and was subsequently commissioned a first lieutenant in the Aviation Section of the Signal Reserve in November 1917. After serving in the Army Air Forces in World War II, he retired in 1946 as a U.S. Army Air Forces Brigadier General.
