Robert Cetola was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program in 1961 upon graduation from Grove City (Pennsylvania) College. He retired in 1999 as a U.S. Air Force Brigadier General.

    (Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Brigadier General Robert T. Cetola, United States Air Force, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving as an O-1 Bird Dog Pilot and Forward Air Controller in support of the 101st Airborne Division, in action over Southeast Asia in 1966. His devotion to duty and courage under all conditions serve as an inspiration to his fellow flyers. His actions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the Armed Forces of the United States.
