Casey, United States Air Force, was awarded the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, culminating as Assistant Surgeon General for Modernization and Chief, Biomedical Sciences Corps, Office of the Air Force Surgeon General, Falls Church, Virginia, from 2006 to 2010.
