(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Major General Michael J. Carey, United States Air Force, was awarded a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States, culminating as Commander, TWENTIETH Air Force, Air Force Global Strike Command, and Commander, Task Force 214, U.S. Strategic Command, Francis E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming; and subsequently as Special Assistant to Commander, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, from 2012 to 2014. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General Carey culminate a long and distinguished career in the service of his country and his dedicated contributions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
