Benjamin Baker ente3red the University of Louisville School of Medicine as a Navy Midshipman, graduating in 1947. He entered service in the Air Force in 1950 after completing his medical internship and residency at Philadelphia General Hospital. He retired in 1978 as a U.S. Air Force Major General.
