Paul Selva graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colorado, Class of 1980. In 2015 he was appointed the 10th Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, becoming the first Air Force Academy Graduate to hold one of the top two military posts. He retired in 2019 as a U.S. Air Force 4-Star General.
