Philip Breedlove was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program in 1977 upon graduation from Georgia Institute of Technology. He flew combat missions in Operation Joint Forge/Joint Guardian and is a command pilot with 3,500 flying hours, primarily in the F-16 fighters. From 2011 to 2012 he served as the 36th Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force. In 2011 he became a U.S. Air Force 4-Star General.
