The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal (Army Award) to Staff Sergeant Stephen R. Maclin, United States Air Force, for exceptionally meritorious achievement from 24 October 2003 to 1 January 2004 during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Staff Sergeant Maclin’s knowledge, motivation, and attention to detail greatly contributed to Task Force IRONHORSE, having the capability to decisively employ air presence missions during combat operations. His actions reflect distinct credit on him, the 4th Infantry Division, and the United States.
