(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Colonel John Emmett Pitts, Jr., United States Air Force, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Air Force Director of the Third Corps Direct Air Support Center at Bien Hoa Air Base, from 1967 to 1968. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of Colonel Pitts and his dedicated contributions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Army.
