Aronson (ASN: 0-793973), United States Army Air Forces, for heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy of the United States while serving with the NINTH Air Force, in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations, during World War II. The exemplary courage and heroism displayed by Second Lieutenant (Air Corps) Aronson, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army Air Forces.
