George Worth is listed as Missing in Action, however the Air Force subsequently determined he survived the loss of his aircraft and was captured. The official USAF report notes: “Statements from repatriates indicate Sgt Worth was captured, held at Pyongyang, and was last seen in the spring of 1951 by Capt J. B. Smith, 20638A. Information received from Capt Smith states that Sgt Worth was in very poor physical condition ( malnutrition) when last seen by him and that he assumed Sgt Worth was dead.”
