Marc Moore enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1946 after completion of one year of college. After completing his enlistment in 1948, he returned to college and graduated from Southern Methodist University, Dallas Texas, in 1951. While in college, he joined the Marine Platoon Leaders Class program in 1948 and was commissioned upon graduation. He retired as a United States Marine Corps Major General in 1982.
