The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal to Master Sergeant Derrick L. DuBose, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious service to the United States as Senior Spectrum Manager, CJ6 Spectrum Management Bureau, Headquarters, International Security Assistance Force, Kabul, Afghanistan, from 30 September 2010 to 30 March 2011 during Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. Master Sergeant DuBose performed with pride and professionalism as a Senior Frequency Spectrum Manager for Spectrum Management Bureau. His outstanding leadership and commitment to excellence directly resulted in flawless Spectrum Management over Afghanistan not only for International Security Assistance Force operations but also for other projects which build Afghanistan’s communication capability. Master Sergeant DuBose’s actions are in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, the United States Army, and the Department of Defense.
