(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Captain Charles Torri, Army of France, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with the Foreign Legion Battalion, 13th Demi Brigade, 1st Brigade, 1st Motorized Division, French Army, in action against enemy forces in France, from 21 to 23 August 1944. Captain Torri’s outstanding accomplishments, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the Allied Nations.
