(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Aspirant Edouard Simon, Army of France, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy, in action against enemy forces while serving with the 4th R.T.T., French Army, in action against enemy forces at Campo del Morte, Italy on 23 May 1944, and at Castel Azurra, Italy, on 15 June 1944. Aspirant Simon’s outstanding accomplishments, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the Allied Nations.
