The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Sergeant First Class Kyle A. Morgan, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in action on 20 November 2015, while serving as a Team Leader operating against an enemy force in support of Overseas Contingency Operations. Without regard for his own safety, Sergeant First Class Morgan’s valorous actions, dedication to duty, and willingness to place himself in great personal risk for the protection of others was critical to the success of a sensitive operation. Sergeant First Class Morgan’s heroism reflects great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.
