(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to First Lieutenant Apolo M. Resk, Brazilian Expeditionary Forces, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy, in action against enemy forces at La Serra, Italy, on 24 February 1945. First Lieutenant Resk’s outstanding accomplishments, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the Allied Nations.
