    (Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Second Lieutenant (Air Corps) Albert J. Moye, United States Army Air Forces, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving as Pilot of a B-26 Medium Bomber in the 22d Bombardment Group (M), FAR EAST Air Force, while participating in a bombing mission on 6 April 1942, against enemy targets at Rabaul. On that date Lieutenant Moye led the first B-26 bombing raid against Japanese forces at the strategic and heavily fortified harbor at Rabaul. Though we was shot down on this mission, he was successfully recovered. His devotion to duty and courage under all conditions serve as an inspiration to his fellow flyers. His actions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the Armed Forces of the United States.
