(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Chef de Battalion Laurent Flye Sante Marie, Army of France, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with Headquarters, 3d Moroccan Tabor Group, French Army, in action against enemy forces during the liberation of Marceilles, France, and in particular on 25 August 1944. Chef de Battalion Marie’s outstanding accomplishments, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the Allied Nations.
