Ronald Rabago graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, Connecticut, Class of 1978. He was the first person of Hispanic American descent to be promoted to flag rank in the United States Coast Guard, and retired as a U.S. Coast Guard Rear Admiral in 2014.
