(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Lieutenant Maurice Joly, Army of France, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with 152d Engineer Regiment, French Army, in action against enemy forces in France, from 16 August to 15 September 1944. Lieutenant Joly’s outstanding accomplishments, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the Allied Nations.
