(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Commander William F. Wallace, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States while attached to Mine Assembly Base 128 and while on temporary additional duty as Naval Mining Officer with the 313th Bombardment Wing of the TWENTIETH Air Force, from 23 January 1945 to 10 August 1945.
