(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Captain Louis T. Young, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Commanding Officer of the U.S.S. PROMETHEUS (AR-3), during operations against the Japanese in the vicinity of the Solomon Islands from August 1942 to May 1943.
