(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Pharmacist’s Mate First Class Daniel Dalton Everett, United States Navy, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroic conduct as a Medical Corpsman on Saipan Islands, from 15 to 16 July 1944. Although wounded, Pharmacist’s Mate First Class Everett voluntarily moved from point to point, treating wounded personnel while under shell and mortar fire, until ordered evacuated by a medical officer.
