(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Chief Radioman Frank C. Keinrath, United States Navy, was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action as Chief Radioman in the U.S.S. GUITARRO (SS-363) during her THIRD War Patrol in enemy controlled waters from 8 October 1944 to 16 November 1944. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Naval Service.
