(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Commander Charles DiPirro, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Signal Officer and later as Communications Officer aboard the U.S.S. TENNESSEE (BB-43), during operations in the Pacific Ocean Area, from 23 April 1944 to 2 September 1945.
