(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Electrician’s Mate Second Class Jacob G. Hoehn, United States Navy, was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroic conduct in remaining on board the U.S.S. SWALLOW (AM-65), after the abandon ship order had been given, in order to save two seriously wounded shipmates, on 22 April 1945.
