(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Commander Francis C. Moore, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Task Unit Commander of a Fleet of Minesweepers, near the southwest and northeast coasts of Formosa and in the East China Sea, from 20 November 1945 to 24 December 1945.
