(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Robert H. Jackson, United States Navy, was awarded the Silver Star for extraordinary gallantry in action as a Fighter-Bomber Pilot in Bombing Fighting Squadron TEN (VBF-10), embarked in U.S.S. INTREPID (CV-11), over the East China Sea, on 7 April 1945. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Naval Service.
