Sisson, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Flag Secretary and Tactical Watch Officer, on the Staff of Commander SECOND Carrier Task Force, in the Pacific Ocean Area, from 18 August 1944 to 25 January 1945.
