    (Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Commander Herman S. Rosenblatt, United States Navy, was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action as Senior Air CIO, Aide and Flag Secretary on the Staff of a Carrier Task Force Commander, in operations against the Japanese in Kyushu, Tokyo, and Kure areas, and in support of landings at Iwo Jima and Okinawa, from 10 February 1945 to 19 May 1945. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Naval Service.
