(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Albert D. Foster, United States Navy, was awarded a Gold Star in lieu of a Second Award of the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Fighter Pilot in Composite Squadron EIGHTY-FIVE (VC-85), embarked in U.S.S. LUNGA POINT (CVE-94), over Okinawa, on 6 April 1945.
