(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant, Junior Grade Charles R. Moxley, Jr., United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (Posthumously) for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Pilot of a Fighter Plane embarked in U.S.S. BENNINGTON (CV-20), in the vicinity of the Japanese home islands, on 28 July 1945, and on 10 and 13 August 1945.
