(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Commander John G. McReynolds, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Pilot and Flight Leader in Bombing Squadron FOUR (VB-4), embarked in U.S.S. ESSEX (CV-9), over the Central and Northern Philippine Islands on 11 and 13 November 1944.
