Kurant, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Pilot in Night Fighting Squadron NINETY (VF(N)-90), embarked in U.S.S. ENTERPRISE (CV-6), over the Tokyo area on 16 February 1945.
