(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant William Pearce, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Pilot in Fighting Squadron TEN (VF-10), embarked in U.S.S. INTREPID (CV-11), over the Japanese home islands, on 18 and 19 March 1945.
