(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Boatswain James L. Urz, United States Navy, was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action as Chief of the Boat aboard the U.S.S. SEALION (SS-315), during the FIRST War Patrol of that Submarine in enemy-controlled waters from 23 June 1944 to 7 August 1944. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Naval Service.
