Daley, United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Commander of a PBY-4 in Bombing Squadron ONE HUNDRED EIGHT (VB-108), in the Marshall and Gilbert Islands, on 12 December 1943.
