(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Commander [then Lieutenant Commander] John N. Myers, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Operations Officer on the Staff of Commander Carrier Task Force 1, in the vicinity of the Marianas, Carolinas, Bonins, Halmehara, Formosa, Philippines and the Nansei Shoto, from June to October 1944.
